Committees and Clubs

Committee and club members face the challenge of getting involved to carry out each club and committee's duties and purpose. Some general responsibilities of committee and club members include a commitment to attend all meetings and help develop marketing strategies.

Ambassador ONE Society (Organized Network Exchange)

The Ambassador ONE Society is composed of supplier partner members and assists HAA by contacting new and current members. The club volunteers inform members of upcoming events and promote membership benefits. Club participants also exchange industry information at monthly meetings. Apartment Communities Supervisors and Executives (ACES)
In pursuit of an ever-increasing level of professionalism, the Apartment Community Executives & Supervisors group has created a vehicle to interface with members and exchange information and knowledge. Additionally, such a society affords the opportunity for educational programs and presentations; subjects of mutual industry concerns. This society will allow for greater knowledge of a contribution to the political and legislative needs of the industry. Meets about six times a year. more info...

Career and Community Development Committee
Owner/management and supplier members oversee HAA public awareness programs which are presented to high school and college students. Committee members also man booths at job fairs and career days promoting the multifamily industry. Open to all members. Meets on an as-needed basis. more info...

Century Club (Political Action Committee membership)
Open to all HAA members, the Century Club requires a $100 contribution to the Houston Apartment Association PAC, our political action committee. Century Club members may attend PAC functions and are represented in all votes. more info...

Community Outreach Committee
Responsible for developing and coordinating new and existing community service programs, such as the school supply drive and the food drive.  and other activities. Meets as needed. more info...

Education Advisory Council
Provides insight and guidance to support ongoing education initiatives and helps HAA develop new programs and meet the education needs of an ever-evolving industry. more info...

Expo Exhibitor Committee

Assists with sales and promotion of the HAA EXPO, the association's annual trade show. Open to all members, who may be asked to qualify by selling a designated number of exhibit spaces. Meetings based on need.

HAF Chili Cook-off Education Fund-raiser Committee

Responsible for planning and coordinating the annual chili cook-off education fund-raiser for the Houston Apartment Foundation. Meets as needed to plan the event.

Go-Getter Club

Formed to promote HAA membership recruitment, this group of owner/management and supplier members recruits companies to join the association. To participate, all you need is an interest in promoting HAA.

Political Action Committee (PAC)
A political action committee that supports candidates for public office. There are different levels of PAC membership from $100 to $1,500 and is open to all HAA members. Fill out the suppliers or owner/management application form to get active.  Meetings are scheduled several times a year, particularly before elections, and often feature candidates as guest speakers.

Membership Recruitment Campaign

Once a year, the association holds a membership drive. All members are invited to participate in the nine-week campaign.

Resident Relations Committee

Two Resident Relations committees meet to resolve resident-owner disputes regarding security deposit refunds. Each committee consists of six owner members, six managers, six supplier members and one owner member chairperson.  Each committee meets monthly or as needed at HAA.

Street Team
Assists HAA with the social media marketing of programs and events. Committee members promote HAA's programs and events, engage members during major events, and more.
