Community Service Events and Projects
HAA's community outreach identifies positive apartment related community service projects for participation by the association and/or individual member companies. The Community Outreach committee (open to any member) provides support and volunteer hours to community service projects, plays a coordinating and oversight role in projects approved for association involvement. HAA is partnering with three charitable organizations this year, NestQuest, Shelters to Shutters and the YMCA Apartment Outreach Program.
Sports Challenge - May 5
This year the proceeds will help the YMCA Apartment Outreach Program youth have the items need to prepare for an amazing outdoor adventure. Every year the YMCA sends over 100 youth participants to Camp Cullen through the Apartment Outreach program and we can offer the 100 children all the items needed to prepare for an amazing outdoor adventure. Basics like: Shampoo, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Deodorant, Sunscreen, Body Wash/Soap and feminine products. There is also a need for twin sheets, blankets, pillows and towels. Blood Drive-June 15
Thank you to all of our members and staff who have donated blood for Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. According to The Blood Center, one unit of donated blood can save up to three lives. Collection will be at the HAA office, 4810 Westway Park Blvd, 77041. A link to sign up and donate will be provided closer to the drive day.
Food Bank Food Drive - November 1-December 1
HAA has participated in the annual Share Your Holidays food drive since 1983. Properties and member companies can collect people and pet food and drop off at our two locations - Camp Construction and Cotton Commercial.
